Thankful For My Lucky Life
So today is Friday the 13th of November. I believe this is such a great month to spend each day really thinking about what we are thankful for. So I start this day off, of all days, being very thankful for my amazing husband and for our beautiful family that we have created together. It has been a little over 20 years since we met on Friday the 13th- So for us- this is a very lucky day. Since that day we have truly enjoyed some of the most amazing experiences together. I love the fact that this morning I woke up to Facebook reminding me that two years ago today we were sailing a boat around the Andaman Sea in Thailand, on our year long trip around the world with our two girls. This memory truly makes my soul smile.
Now, today I sit next to this same amazing man typing away, looking out our window to the sunlit snow covered mountains in Big Bear, California. Today is the official opening day for ski season here in Big Bear. The snow has not been great--but we are thankful for what we do have. It is supposed to be an epic snow season this year so we are keeping our fingers crossed and our snow blowers ready. So far the temperatures are cooperating and both mountains are able to make snow throughout the nights. Every year I am so thankful and completely amazed by this technology. California is really an incredible place to live. With sun and sandy warm beautiful beaches just 2 hours away from our crisp snow covered mountains surrounded by the purest of blue skies... I am so thankful for this lucky life I live.
I have recently uploaded many of my journal entries from our family travels around the world for the year- to my blog feed. I have also created a tab to view our music videos that we made in each destination. I hope you enjoy watching / reading them as much as we did making them.
This was one of our first videos made on our trip--by our 11 year old daughter, 2 years ago today.
